Awesome Moment
Contents submitted to "Secretary of Health and Human Services, via on-line partition" I can vividly recall how clear the skies were, days after 911. On one of those days, taking a break at a busy Veterans Hospital in Georgia, my thoughts drifted back in time, when I remembered looking for cloud shapes in the sky as a child for entertainment. I noticed how the sunlight reflected off the tree leaves, the sound of the air breeze was calming like the sound of gently flowing ocean waves. The bluer than usual sky struck a crystal clear contrast with shadow white puffy clouds. I can not recall the shapes I enjoyed; however, for the moment, the serenity and peace from the tree tops to the sky was an awesome moment. Fortunately, it was my last break in my shift and I was able to hang on to the spiritual lift all the way home. That awesome moment reconnected me to myself, which allowed me to redirect my fears into praises for the Grace bestowed unto me. I am a Mother, Grandmother, and blended for my spouse's children; we are also Great-grandparents of a boy and a girl. I Thank Grace for the moments for moments makes a difference.
