Create Your Own Community
FLUX is a social project that allows ALL members to be admins if they choose to do so. The most unique feature of FLUX is what I call the "chameleon" effect. Meaning users from any community, who visits any other community takes on the design of the visiting community, i.e., Flava of Love Community decor is lots of hearts and has red tones, Cyndi Lauper's Community has a night club theme. The User's profile stays the same, the decor changes as the user visits different communities. Another feature I like about FLUX is one log-in permits user limitless movement from community to community. Members can share their profile links in outside communities like Digg, Facebook ... (S)he can browse profiles in any community without joining; search for specific age, gender, location, country and join communities with the same log-in. Members control how much access browsing members have of their profile and can moderate comments. In the original TagWorld community, members were as young as 7. The admin did an excellent job of protecting minors. To my knowledge TagWorld has not been involved with news media regarding incidents with minors like MySpace. The minimum age in FLUX is 13. I miss the Original TagWorld; however, I am loving FLUX flexibility and freedom. |
