Glad I Do Not Use Plastic In MicroWaves
I have been wise to consider advice of elders and hold dear to my heart, many of their resistance to change, like "consuming too much fast foods" or failing to train frequent acquaintances to "contact me" between specific hours. Somewhere between knowledge of how plastic is made and my own developed wisdom, reheating food in plastic containers in the microwave has always been my pet peeve. At home, I use paper, glass or stoneware in the microwave. For some odd reason, I believed the heating process in plastic would emit gasses that may be absorbed by the food item. When I pack my lunch, I also pack paper bowls/plates or Vision corning ware [USA} for lunch items that I reheat, using a micro wave oven. In recent news about toxins in plastic baby bottle, health risks and related illnesses from emitting toxins, I thought to myself - JazHoo! I am glad I do not use plastic in microwaves!

I have become very much like the elder ladies in my family, I hoard all sorts of glass containers, which comes handy for many uses. Glass containers is the most recyclable item on the planet!
