Natural Healing vs Organized Medical Society

By Jan Green of JazLive Open Public Networking Community

"The whole concept of drug induced disease is much better known that it was 10 or 15 years ago?" Paul Seligman, Director of the FDA's Pharmacoepidemiology and Statistical Services as stated in USA Today March 14, 2005 Section B. Though some drugs save lives, unfortunately, many drugs create unwanted side-effects aka illnesses, toxicity and death."

Health professionals are realizing their technical training that includes matching pharmacutical therapies with physical symptoms does more harm than good vs natural remedies (cultrual practices) that are currently and generally being re-classified as alternative medicine.

"Homeopathy, a less invasive system that still thrives in Britain and Europe, may have done no good, but that was the worst charge lodged against it. Homeopathy did not kill people, as Orthodox medicine did. The Homeopaths actually followed the Hippocratic injunction "First, do not harm" and refused to worship abstract Science. As a result, the clergy - an important interest group in 19th-century America - sympathized with them. As the president of the New York State Medical Society noted in 1844, "We feel severely the influence of the clergy as operating against our collective interest." One prominent pastor, for example, had called the medical establishment "an expensive vampire upon society".

The pastor is still correct. Ministers who visit their sick and shut-in members also have knowledge of their church members' ailments, medical therapy and diminishing health. Ministers also have access to networks of healing knowledge because of the masses (s)he are acquainted with.

I do not advocate medical professionals are useless; however, their technical training forges them to become drug distributors more than body healers.

For example ~ obesity and/or type II diabetics

Both ailments are common the the body's ability to process sugar. Many processed foods contain a variety of different sugar and sugar subtitutes that are not naturally fit for human consumption.

Both ailments has thousands of professional medical approaches to attempt remedy; however, more and more suffers are added to the growing population. Medicine is believed to reduce suffering not increase or prolong suffering.

Gymnema sylvestre is a plant that grows in the tropical rain forest in central India. Consuming this plant, according to India culture, helps the body naturally control blood sugar and secretion of insulin.

India has been using this plant for hundreds of years to treat:

* diabetes
* headaches
* poisoning
* wounds
* bronchial asthma
* coughs
* fever

This one plant places a huge dent in organized medicines financial chain for the aforlisted physical ailments.

I am not suggesting one toss current medical prescriptions and jump on the gymnema sylvestre herb plant therapy; however, I do suggest suffers of the aforelisted to consult with his/her prescribing physician. If your physician does not want consider trying something else besides pharmaceuticals to allow your body to re-gain natural control of its function, seek an "alternative medicine professional" on your own for consultation.
