Obama is closer to winning the Democratic Nomination
Senator Barack Obama won North Carolina as the Democratic Presidential Nominee in North Carolina's Presidential Primaries, Tuesday, May 6, 2008. This adds weight to His momentum in becoming the Democratic Presidential Nominee to run against John McCain on November 4, 2008. 2025 delegates is the number both Hillary and Obama strives to reach in the Democratic Presidential Primaries; however, they both are heavily favored among Democrats which slpits the number of delegates won [in conjunction with popular vote] by both candidates. Of the 3538 delegates won by both candidates, including North Carolina's 110, Senator Obama has 52% [1845 delegates] vs. Senator Clinton's 48% [1693 delegates]. Obama is now 180 delegates closer to 2025 than Hillary, needing 332 delegates. There are 217 delegates to compete for in the upcoming states primaries as follows: 2008
D/MO; State, # of Delegates 13/05; West Virginia, 28
20/05; Oregon, 52
20/05; Kentucky, 51 01/06; Puerto Rico, 55
03/06; Montana, 16
03/06; South Dakota, 16 Where it is not possible for Hillary to win 2025 delegates in the remainding state primaries, the competition is still interesting to learn how many of the remaining 217 delegates Obama will win.

Being a female Democrat, I like both Senators in the Democratic Primaries which makes my own decision to favor one more than the other a stalemate.
