Reading Addicts By Jan Green of JazLive Open Public Networking Community The inspiration to share this odd concept of "reading addicts" stems from a submitted intel about "Digital Addiction" It just so happens that a search for keywords: reading addicts returned a blog entry dated June 12th, 2006 at 08:30 am. Princess Perky, shares in the opening sentence that she is a reader who "immerse" herself into the book and "losing all thought of time. Physical needs like hunger, thirst, and rest are pushed away while much stronger thirst for more of the story demands I slake it." These are the same symptoms that alcoholics and drug abusers suffer; as well as people who are deeply depressed (medicated or not). Princess Perky has a unique writing style that has drawn 54 (some are lengthy) responses between June 2006 and July 2008. Check the external link to read her full description of her addiction.
