The More One Shares with Other Returns More to Share

By Jan Green of JazLive Open Public Networking Community

The more one shares with other returns more to share with others.

I am not sure if this particular phrase has been attached to fame; however, if not, I am increasing the practice.

It takes years to develop skills, credibility and relationships. Developing into the brand of HELP can be taxing on ones health. Helping family, friends, co-workers, community, referrals ... becomes overwhelming!

In December 2004, I resigned from 17 years of employment without a blink of regret. The driving factor that fueled the motivation to cut ties was mean spirited management in the deparment I left behind. There were other factors that contributed, like stress of attending online classes for a graduate degree; keeping up with a minor child's progress in school; my spouse's fourth year of retirement; I could go on and on, in addition to being BRANDED HELP! It got to the point where I needed HELP!

Demands from family is my priority over work and anything else, including sleep; however, as one ages it is imperitive to change from doing for others to sharing with others ~ for the sake of self-preservation. If one expires one will not be available to do all the activities others depend on; none-the-less, establishing a flow of sharing can outlast the doer.

Making the transition from doing to sharing is painless for the doer. Writing books, publishing blogs, creating communities are a few ways a doer can share with others. In return, the doer can do more by sharing his/her experience with others.

Jaz Jets is an example of a doer's share.
